1. Introduction
Giatros is a hospital-management app that facilitate better interactions between different parties involved in the hospital. It is mainly targeted at the hospital staff who are keeping track of the patient records.
2. Quick Start

Ensure you have Java version
9
or later installed in your Computer. -
Download the latest
Giatros.jar
here. -
Copy the file to the folder you want to use as the home folder for your Giatros.

Double-click the file to start the app. The GUI should appear in a few seconds.

At this stage, you are in Guest mode and you will not be able to execute any commands yet. You need to login to your account before you can use the application.

If you are a staff who already has an account, please login using this format :
login id/USERNAME pw/PASS
. -
If you do not have an account, please approach the manager to create an account for you.

Refer to Section 3, “User Authentication Features” for details of the login system.

Once logged in, you can type the command in the command box and press Enter to execute it.
e.g. typinghelp
and pressing Enter will open the help window. -

3. User Authentication Features
When the application is first opened, it will be in Guest mode and no command can be executed except the login
command.
3.1. Logging in to the application : login
Allows a guest to login and start using the application.
Format: login id/USERNAME pw/PASSWORD
A dummy staff account with sample data is available by default. Username: STAFF and Password: 1122qq

3.2. Logging out of the application : logout
Allows the user to logout when done with the session.
Format: logout
You can only logout when you have been logged in. |
3.3. Registering a new staff to use the application : register
Allows the manager to create new staff account using which new staff can log into the application.
Format: register id/USERNAME pw/PASSWORD n/NAME
A dummy manager account is available by default. Username: MANAGER and Password: 1122qq

Allows a new user to learn about the different commands that are available.

4.2. Adding a patient: add
Adds a patient into Giatros.

A patient can have any number of allergies (including 0) A patient can have any number of appointments (including 0) |

4.3. Listing all patients : list
Shows a list of all patients stored in Giatros.

4.4. Editing a patient : edit
Edits an existing patient stored in Giatros.
Format: edit INDEX [n/NAME] [p/PHONE] [e/EMAIL] [a/ADDRESS] [y/ALLERGY] [apt/APPOINTMENT]…
This feature can be used to add, remove, or update a patient’s name, phone, email, address, allergy or appointment |
Examples:

4.5. Locating patients by name: find
Finds patients whose names contain any of the given keywords.
Format: find KEYWORD [MORE_KEYWORDS]
This feature is useful to find out whether a patient has been registered in the system. |
Doctors and pharmacists can also use this feature to find out more about a specific patient, e.g. patient’s allergies and appointments |

4.6. Deleting a patient: delete
Removes a patient from Giatros
Format: delete INDEX

Selects the patient identified by the index number used in the displayed patient list.

Lists all the commands that you have entered in reverse chronological order.

Restores the Giatros book to the state before the previous undoable command was executed.

Appointments should be in one of the following forms, 'yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss' , 'yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm', 'yyyy-MM-dd HH', and should be a valid date-time. Entering '2016-01-01' (no time value), '2019-02-29 10:10' (leap year, day does not exist), '2019-02-29 25:10' (impossible time), etc is not acceptable. |

4.17. Saving the data
Giatros data are saved in the hard disk automatically after any command that changes the data.
There is no need to save manually.
4.18. Exporting the data export
Exports the giatros book to a cvs file saved on the local disk at the specified DESTINATION

5. FAQ
Q: How do I transfer my data to another Computer?
A: Install the app in the other computer and overwrite the empty data file it creates with the file that contains the data of your previous Giatros folder.
